Muirfield Drive Public Art Project | Hosted by Dublin Arts Council | June 13, 2024, 6-9pm
Artists will have 45 minutes to present their concept and full proposal.
Artists will present in alphabetical order, by last name. (Please see below for artist bios.)
A 15-minute Q&A session will follow each presentation
If you have a question for an artist, please type it into the text box to the right of the video and then click “Ask” during the Q&A.
A DAC staff member will collect all questions/comments and deliver them to the selection committee (seated at the front of the theater).
The members of the selection committee will ask the artists as many questions as time allows.
If your question is not addressed publicly due to time constraints, please know that the selection committee will receive and review your feedback.
At the conclusion of the evening (may be earlier than 9pm, depending on the length of the presentations) please register your preference for one of the proposals by typing in the artist’s name into the text box and clicking “Ask.” You may also submit any additional comments in the text box at the end of the event.
The selection committee will meet immediately after the presentations to select a proposal. All audience comments and questions will be delivered to the committee for their review and consideration during their deliberations.
DAC will announce the selected artist/proposal at the June 17th Dublin City Council meeting and will follow that announcement with a press release.
City Council will consider a resolution during this meeting to authorize the city manager to enter into an agreement with the recommended artist.
Dublin’s Art in Public Places program is a collaboration between Dublin Arts Council and City of Dublin and is designed to engage the community - those who live, work, visit, learn, and play in Dublin.
Dublin Arts Council sent out a national call for artists, receiving a total of 122 submissions; representing 32 states; including seven Ohio artists.
An artist selection committee reviewed the submissions and selected three finalists.
March 2024, the artists traveled to Dublin to visit the site and draw inspiration from the landscape, history, culture and spirit of the community.
Tonight, they are presenting their proposals for a site-specific artwork.
During our Q&A, we invite you to fill out your questions and hold them up for a volunteer.
The selection committee will deliberate, taking into consideration community questions and comments and select a winning concept for this site.
